Woodform made 13 curved timber seats in differing sizes, measuring from 2.0m to 3.6m long. Each seat was made to measure with a stainless steel frame designed to be mounted onto a concrete plinth. The seats were manufactured in curved rosewood, a durable hardwood with a warm natural finish.

Woodform manufactures timber panelling, often incorporating complex shapes using CNC routing technology, bending and joinery expertise.
Our panels can be made to any scale and in any type of timber.
Notable examples are the Rolleston Library mural panels, the atrium panels at the Auckland Airport Novotel and theatre panelling at the Auckland MIT .

We can make acoustic panels to achieve a range of performance criteria including up to 0.8 NRC acoustic rating and up to Group 1S fire rating
Our panels are available in a wide range of substrates and face veneers, and custom patterns.
In the above example, the panels were made using a CNC cut perforated pattern on marine plywood with a southland beech veneer facing and solid southland beech edge clashing.
Woodform can manufacture perforated and slotted large format sheet panels, to custom designs.
These can be in a range of finishes including from timber veneers, melamine, HPL, and paint finishes.

LLC benches, kauri, Royal Society of NZ, Wellington
The Bench seats designed for the Len Lye Centre are now available for purchase through an exclusive agreement between the Len Lye Centre, the manufacturer of the seats Woodform and the award winning architects of the Len Lye Centre, Patterson Associates.
The benches are made to the identical design and craftmanship as the original benches in the Len Lye Centre today using American White Ash, a gesture to Len Lye’s residence in New York.
The benches are made to order and can be delivered anywhere.
Woodform manufactured 1,500 timber seats, which feature moulded bottoms and curved backs for Sydney Grammar School

Case Study :
For the central spiral staircase in the atrium, Woodform supplied and installed a curved handrail, comprising approximately 120m of Bendywood oak 48mm diameter. Woodform’s engineers designed an adaption to the bracket system and a stainless steel sleeve system for the joints to achieve a seamless look.
